Conflict

The conflict for the book is Man vs. Man. Because the police (man) have to solve the mystery to find out who (man) murdered Ruby Keene.

Themes

I think one of the major themes in this book is You can't trust anyone. Because in this book its hard to choose who to trust and who not to trust. You can think that you trust someone, but then sometimes they just end up being guilty. At first I thought that one of the characters (I am not going to say any names to spoil it) was the guilty one, but they didn't have anything to do with the murder, it was a different person the whole time.

Setting

In Body in the Library the setting takes place in an English village called St. May Mead.  In this small village there many other settings like, The Majestic Hotel, Basil Blake's home, Gossington Hall-Home of Conol and Mrs. Bantry, the Police Station, and many more!
